Rape: now women can bite back
>>>Rapex - dubbed the 'rape trap' - is a product worn internally by women. The hollow inside is lined with rows of razor-sharp hooks, which are designed to latch on to a rapist's penis during penetration. They can only be removed by a doctor. http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/index.php?storyID=2140
I was in a comic store (my god!!) looking for his stuff and as I was exiting, some guy was trying to convince the staff to let him leave some postcard ads for a movie called The Final Equation. I snagged one. On my way out, I was accosted by someone who told me there'd be a preview of it this Friday (11 bloody 30 PM!!) in NYC.
I just went to the website. This looks damned interesting. I loved Pi.
Aw, geez. Just came across another movie, currently open:
>>>CONFESSIONS OF A SUPERHERO is a feature-length documentary that chronicles the lives of three mortal men and one woman who make their living working as superhero characters on Hollywood Boulevard. This deeply personal look into their daily routines reveals their hardships and triumphs as they pursue and achieve their own kind of fame. The Hulk sold his Super Nintendo for a bus ticket to LA; Wonder Woman was a mid-western homecoming queen; Batman struggles with his anger, while Superman's psyche is consumed by the Man of Steel. Although the Walk of Fame is right beneath their feet, their own paths to stardom prove to be long, hard climbs.
Some sort of videotaped presentation from Day Con about hacking Second Life.
This is on Veoh, so in order to view more than 5 minutes, you must download their app. (Note that if you later download, uh, questionable material from Veoh using their app, it has the power to reach into your PC to delete that material. So it's a good idea to move downloaded stuff *out* of My Videos->Veoh to another folder, then Remove the material from your Veoh Library.)
Didn't Warren Else make a post somewhere about how many blogs are just full of links and information? And I don't recall what he was saying about that, I remember it was somewhat negative, but the point is: isn't this sort of like that?
A post just filled with "links of interests" without any real content in and of itself.
Or perhaps it was somewhere else with the author commenting that major media news organizations now get most of their information from smaller news organizations instead of doing investigative journalism the old fashioned way.
I quite forgot the point of my comment, but: what is the point of this forum discussion?
What is the discussion? (and I'm not trying to criticize you, I'm stoned and very curious)
It' s what it says: Links of Interest. Short for: You might or might not to click on these if you're interested. Some of the stuff Warren has mentioned before and I've happened upon related new material -- which might or might not be of interest to you.
Don't post when stoned! Er... what kind of stoned, anyway?
Certainly not a kind I'm going to talk about in such a public place.

Since this is a warrenellis.com-themed community I just figured I'd ask a question brought on by a blog entry made by the mane of the hour.

I'd like to think my inebriated ramblings have some use, although I'll admit not much!
